Here's how to share your bag of holding online

Three adventurers - a human fighter, a dwarven barbarian, and a human mage peer around a boulder on which the feet of a Roc is perched. In front of them is the Rocs baby, huge in comparison to our adventurers.

Has your party ever used a bag of holding in your favourite tabletop RPG game? Perhaps you picked somebody to write the list of items down on a piece of paper. Then that somebody didn't show up one session, or they forgot that bit of paper!

That's the issue my party had, so I created Extradimensional, a tool to put your bag of holding online!

How can I share my bag of holding online?

By signing up to Extradimensional, you'll be able to create a bag. We'll generate a code that you can give to your party members, and everyone can connect to the same bag - only the person creating the bag needs an account. And the best part is that any changes you make to your bag will be shown in real time to everyone else connected, so you'll know right away when the party grabs some loot - and when that one guy (we all know who) grabs the best gear for themself.

Never forget what you've got in your bag of holding again by putting it online with Extradimensional!

Are there any other websites for online bags of holding?

Sure, there are some great alternatives! Here's a couple I've found:

  • Bag of Holding has some cool features like explicitly giving items to different characters, as well as the ability to record the weight of different items
  • bagofholding.xyz lets you arrange your bags by campaign, has a gold tracker, and also lets you add quests that your party is tracking
  • Google Sheets of course google sheets never goes wrong. It's a bit more manual, but maybe that's your style! In fact, the first time I showed off Extradimensional as a method of tracking bags of holding and how it works in real time, I was told "so it's glorified Google Sheets?". Nice one.
